Equal Goals is a SANFL initiative funded by the Office for Recreation and Sport (ORS) which aims to support SANFL clubs with increasing the diversity of their boards and leadership groups, along with sharing best practice examples for how clubs can foster inclusive cultures. Diversity and inclusion are key drivers to support the continued growth and sustainability of Australian Rules Football in South Australia.

We believe this is important because passion is the only pre-requisite for participation in our sport.

What are we doing?

SANFL will establish a network of individuals wishing to assume board and/or committee positions at SANFL clubs. The Equal Goals Graduate Program will support these individuals through the coordination of events/opportunities to build engagement and relationships, as well as providing a bespoke board readiness and governance education program to prepare them for the SANFL club environment.

The above will be complemented by the implementation of inclusion and governance initiatives at the SANFL clubs.
