Board Resume Preparation

Helping you develop a professional board resume.

About this service

Writing your first board resume can be an overwhelming task. It is quite different from your professional resume and requires you to talk about your personal achievements in a new way that can feel awkward and uncomfortable.

To highlight your best features, it’s recommended to get help from a trusted person to prepare your board resume. You need someone who gets to know you, unearths your professional achievements and your strengths, articulates the value you offer to boards in a way that resonates with them, and packages it all into a professional board resume ready for you to utilise and adapt as you seek board opportunities.

Lisa Cook, founder and managing director of Get on Board Australia, is ready to help guide you through this process and empower you to feel confident about what you offer the boards you want to join.

Knowing that everyone is in a different place in relation to their professional career and board journey, Lisa gives you a highly-customised board resume preparation service. This includes interviewing you and writing your board resume and cover letter from scratch, while teaching you the tools and techniques to craft a compelling board resume for your future board roles.

If you’re ready to launch your board career on the right foot – or take it further – get in touch with Lisa for a ‘no strings attached’ conversation about how she can personally help you.

Whichever option you choose, Lisa also includes support for updating your LinkedIn profile to reflect your board resume and board ambitions.

Who is this service for?

Lisa works predominantly with new and aspiring board members and company directors: those who are looking to join a board in the near future, or those who are ready to start moving towards paid board positions after time as a volunteer director.

    Happy Clients

While I ultimately decided not to pursue a Board career at this time, working with Lisa was an incredibly valuable experience. Her insightful interview process helped me view my Board-relevant skills and accomplishments in a whole new light. The Board resume that Lisa created was exceptional; polished and targeted, it truly showcased my capabilities. Even though my career path has taken a different turn, the process of crafting this Board-focused resume has boosted my confidence and given me a fresh perspective on my professional value. I highly recommend Lisa and Get on Board Australia's Board resume writing service to anyone, even if you're unsure about pursuing board positions. It's a really good (and tax-deductible) investment in understanding and highlighting your strengths.
