Lisa Cook
Lisa’s a passionate advocate for the development of strong and confident leaders who can make a positive difference in our businesses, communities, and around the world. As the founder and managing director of Get on Board Australia, Lisa’s committed to empowering individuals to excel in the boardroom and thrive in their board positions.
With a career that began in the Sydney corporate sector, Lisa’s journey took a turn when she moved to Adelaide and embraced the role of a freelance marketing consultant. It was during this time that two organisations invited her to join their boards. She said yes, immediately throwing her into the proverbial deep end.
Despite her background in business management studies, Lisa soon realised the essential skills and knowledge needed to navigate the boardroom successfully were missing from her education. To add to the challenge, all the existing director education and development programs she could find were prohibitively expensive, particularly for those volunteering their time. Who are these workshops for?
Our one-day workshops are tailored for individuals embarking on their new board journey; whether you’re new to the role (1st to 5th year), eagerly preparing for a future board career (within the next 12 months), or seeking to solidify your expertise after years of board service with a view to opening doors to new and exciting opportunities.
How is the workshop delivered?
We’ll be covering three sessions over the course of one day in a face-to-face workshop. We’ll briefly cover off on the theory behind each section of your board resume, leaving plenty of time for you to really get stuck into the creation of your board resume with Lisa’s full support.
How much does it cost?
The cost of the workshop is $888 per person. Payment is via PayPal so you have the option to pay upfront or you can opt to use PayPal’s pay-in-four installment service.
When do registrations close?
The registrations for each workshop are open until the day before the listed date of the workshop. To ensure quality 1:1 time with each participant however, places are limited and may sell out in advance.
What if I change my mind?
If you change your mind or can no longer attend the workshop you’ve registered for, a full refund can be requested up to one week before the date of the workshop. If you need to cancel within one week of the workshop, please contact us so we to discuss your options.
Are there any restrictions on who can attend a workshop?
Not at all – anyone can attend. Just keep in mind our Board Resume Workshop is best suited to new and aspiring board members.
Will I earn any continuing professional development (CPD) points for my professional accreditation?
Our workshops will likely meet most criteria for the CPD requirements of large professional associations. We recommend you check with your association prior to booking your place to confirm you can claim the work and hours invested in your CPD requirements.
