Renee Preece

Renee is the External Affairs Manager – South Australia for BP Australia. Originally from Port Augusta Renee studied at the university of south Australia in Whyalla where she graduated with a bachelor of social work.

Her studies soon led her to Papua New Guinea where she worked for ExxonMobil on their onshore LNG project as a stakeholder engagement lead, this role included reporting and compliance to the World Bank and ensuring stakeholders were represented as the project worked towards first gas.

Renee has been with BP for four years and during that time has worked to establish and maintain BP’s privilege to operate in South Australia and more recently Australia, this has included working with state and local government as well as ‘ in and with’ communities.

Renee is currently leading BP Australia’s CSR programs nationally and enjoys creating sustainable legacies for organisations and individuals as a result of large corporates presence in a specific location.

What is Get on Board?

Get on Board delivers education and development courses that are open to individuals from all professional backgrounds and all types of industries (public, private, NFP, sporting organisations and clubs, etc.). Get on Board focuses on aspiring directors – those people looking to join a board in the near future – and on new directors – those who are currently in their first to fifth year of sitting on a board.
