Board Shorts Podcast: Boardroom Insider of the Month – Liz Savage | Ep. 12

This podcast episode is part of a regular series called Boardroom Insider of the Month. In these episodes I interview experienced board members to bring you the inside information on how they started their board career, what their opinion is on essential board member skills, the future of the boardroom, their biggest boardroom challenge, and the advice that they have for new and aspiring board members.

In this episode, I talk with Liz Savage, a switched on board director who has built – and continues to build – a board portfolio that draws on her successful professional career and builds her board expertise that she takes into other organisations.

Liz shares why it’s so vital for aspiring board members to develop strong networks before you even start looking for a board role, why the board diversity conversation needs to expand, the importance of knowing why you want to join a board, and why board service brings her so much joy.
